Muffy is a gentle, six-and-a-half-year-old Chow Chow with a golden coat and an old soul. She's a medium-sized girl, weighing about 50 pounds, and she's the epitome of "selectively social." Muffy is a quiet observer who prefers to settle into a cozy corner or enjoy the fresh air in a securely fenced yard before she fully embraces new people. Once she trusts you, you'll discover a deeply loyal friend who is happy to offer high-fives, twirl with grace, and become your biggest fan. She loves peaceful walks, forest hikes, and trick sessions, boasting impressive cues like spin, wave, and heel. While shy with strangers, Muffy is a loyal guardian at heart and simply needs time, patience, and a calm environment to truly blossom. Her loving pet parent passed away, and she's now seeking a new devoted home.
Ideal Home
Muffy thrives in a quiet, cat-free home with one or two experienced adults who understand her need for routine, space, and gentle encouragement. She's not a fan of chaos or surprise greetings, so busy households and children are not the right fit. While selective with other dogs, she has formed bonds with a few, so a laid-back canine sibling might be possible with slow and respectful introductions.
Ongoing Health
Muffy is spayed and vaccinated. She does have a history of a single bite incident involving an unleashed dog who ran up to her, but in her daily life, she is calm and observant.
Training & Support
Muffy is house-trained and beautifully behaved indoors. She's independent and doesn't mind being left alone for short periods. She loves her daily Greenie and enjoys being brushed. She needs structure, not chaos, and a caregiver who understands moving at her pace.
