Meet Lacey a tiny little adventure nugget with Olympic-level social skills and the face of a Doll

At only around 31 pounds, Lacey is the PERFECT portable size. Big enough to join you on hikes and adventures, small enough to curl up into the tiniest little couch croissant afterward. Shes about a year and a half old, possibly some kind of boxer/terrier mix, and whatever combination created her honestly deserves an award because this girl is ridiculously well-rounded.

Lacey is one of those dogs who somehow fits into every situation like shes been there her whole life. Big dogs? Cool. Goofy dogs? Amazing. Confident dogs? Love them. High-energy chaos goblins? Totally fine. Cats? Surprisingly chill about it. Humans? Obsessed with them. She genuinely has some of the best doggy social skills ever. Watching her interact with other dogs is like watching a tiny furry diplomat peacefully maintaining balance in the friend group.

During her assessment, she floated effortlessly between dogs of all sizes and personalities, happily playing chase games, politely greeting everyone, then casually removing herself when she wanted a break like a mature little queen protecting her peace. No drama. No chaos. Just vibes.

She especially loved another confident playful dog and happily joined in on chase games, switching roles back and forth and bouncing around having the time of her life. But the cutest part? Even with all the excitement around her, Lacey never got overwhelmed. If things got too rowdy or overstimulating, shed simply step away, observe for a second, and then happily rejoin once she was ready again. Honestly, emotional regulation icon behavior.

And despite loving outdoor adventures and playtime, inside the house Lacey transforms into the sweetest sleepy little cuddlebug. She finds her cozy couch spot, curls up dramatically, and settles in like she pays the mortgage. She has this wonderful balance of active outside / calm inside that makes her SUCH an easy dog to live with.

She also absolutely adores people. Gentle kisses? Yes. Leaning into pets? Absolutely. Tiny little treat nibbles so careful and polite they could make you cry? CONSTANTLY. Seriously, she takes treats like a little creature accepting offerings from a fairy.

Lacey is amazing on leash too. She walks beautifully beside her person, responds easily to guidance, and would thrive going on neighborhood walks, patio dates, road trips, hiking adventures, farmers markets, or literally anywhere you want a tiny adorable sidekick.

And honestly? Shes one of those rare dogs that could probably fit beautifully into SO many different homes. She could absolutely thrive with playful dog siblings, but she also seems emotionally balanced enough to do well as an only dog soaking up all the attention. She can handle apartment life with an active family who enjoys outings and adventures, but shed also love a backyard to zoom around in.

As for cats... Lacey honestly did AMAZING. She politely sniffed the cat, basically went oh okay cool, and walked away. Which frankly is more emotional maturity than many humans possess. Wed still recommend slow introductions or an overnight cat test just to be safe, but she is giving all the signs of potentially being an excellent kitty roommate.

She hasnt officially been around kids yet, but shes showing all the signs of being a very family-friendly girl. Shes gentle, social, affectionate, adaptable, and overall incredibly easygoing. We can absolutely kid-test her for interested adopters!

Shes also crate trained, treat motivated, and just genuinely seems like one of those dogs who makes life easier instead of harder. The kind of dog who happily joins every adventure, makes friends everywhere she goes, and then falls asleep upside down on your couch afterward looking impossibly cute.

Lacey feels like the type of dog people wait years to find playful but calm, social but respectful, adventurous but cuddly, confident but gentle. Shes just a tiny little perfect package of joy.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!

Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1000 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gapranging from $100$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
