Freckles. Wiggles. A happy little hop in her step. This is Pippi Longstockings and she absolutely lives up to the name. Petite, bright-eyed, and full of spunky sweetness, she moves through the world like it's a playground she's just discovered. Pippi is estimated to be about 2 years old, weighs 37 lbs, and appears to be some sort of staffie-style mix. She is a happy, medium-sized girl with energy to spare and a heart that is wide open. On leash, she has great basics and an easy pace. She responds nicely to correction and gets almost giddy when loved on, with wiggles for affection. Her enthusiasm is infectious and will make you giggle every single time!
Pippi has friendly confidence with other dogs but doesn't need to be everyone's bestie. She plays with higher energy, zooming and engaging confidently. She did best with equally confident females and with males overall. Her play style can be bold with an equally playful, confident dog, and she responds well to structure and clear boundaries. She isn't the best fit for a dog that is a pushover or lacks the confidence to set boundaries. Her response to cats was mixed and inconclusive, so we would love to see her in a home setting with a cat or two to get a full understanding of her approach.

Pippi will thrive with an active family who enjoys movement, play, and a dog who greets each day like it's a celebration.

Pippi is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
