Meet Summer, a delightful 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of sunshine! Summer is a smart, friendly girl who was born around June 1, 2025. She absolutely loves meeting new people and enjoys being right in the middle of all the action. Her social and outgoing personality makes her a friend to everyone she meets. Whether you're looking for an adventure buddy, a walking partner, or a loyal family companion, Summer has all the qualities to be an amazing addition to your home.

Ongoing Health

All of our rescue dogs receive comprehensive veterinary care before adoption. This includes being spayed or neutered (if age appropriate), fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, maintained on heartworm prevention, and treated for fleas and ticks. Summer has received all of this essential care.

Training & Support

Summer is already crate trained and walks beautifully on a leash. She is incredibly intelligent and picks up on cues quickly, making her a joy to train and spend time with. As with many rescue dogs, patience, consistency, and continued training in her new home will be key to her continued success.

Transportation

Summer is currently being fostered in Adair County, Kentucky. We do offer transport to approved adopters in select locations, including Greenwood, Indiana; Wilmington, Ohio; and Washington, Pennsylvania. Transport is available after application approval, deposit payment, and signing a transport agreement. More details about our transport program can be found on our website.
