About Chunk

Meet Chunk — the tiny Chiweenie mix who was named “Chunk” because rescuers thought he was the fattest puppy in the litter. Plot twist: He was actually the runt. And honestly? He still seems personally offended by that misunderstanding. Born February 5, 2026, Chunk may be little (currently around 5 lbs), but his confidence level is approximately the size of a Great Dane. This boy has ONE life philosophy: “Why wouldn’t everyone want to be my friend?” And frankly… he has a point. He's healthy, heartworm negative, will be neutered before adoption, and has had two rounds of shots completed (with the third round coming the week of May 11th). Chunk is potty pad trained, uses a doggy door, is crate trained, and is a friendly and outgoing professional cuddle specialist who loves other dogs. Chunk LOVES toys, giving kisses, making dog friends, snuggling, and barking at you if you stop paying attention to him for 0.3 seconds. That’s right — if Chunk feels ignored, he WILL file a formal complaint by barking until you pick him up. He's the stumpy-legged puppy version of a Karen and will require speaking to the manager. Attention must be given. The tiny king has spoken.

Ideal Home

Chunk's perfect home would include fun, friendly, tolerant dogs, and people who appreciate clingy little cuddle bugs. He would not do well with giant, overly rough, or bossy dogs, as he is tiny and could get hurt. He dramatically barks at cats, but mostly just to announce their presence like an overly committed security guard.

Ongoing Health

Chunk is healthy, heartworm negative, and will be neutered before adoption. He has had two rounds of shots completed, with the third round coming the week of May 11th.

Training & Support

Chunk is potty pad trained, uses a doggy door, and is crate trained. If Chunk feels ignored, he will bark until you pick him up. He requires attention and has one boundary: he does not like to be held like a baby as he finds it disrespectful.
