About Parker Sunday Stroll

Parker is a quiet, gentle, and easygoing boy who weighs an estimated 21 lbs and is around 2 years old. He has a soft presence and a calm, peaceful energy that can make a home feel more grounded. Parker appears to be a Portuguese Podengo mix, but as always with rescue, breed and age are our best guess. He truly shines when interacting with other dogs and has been wonderfully comfortable in his foster home with multiple dogs. He greets them politely and is happy to be part of the pack without needing to be the center of attention.

Ideal Home

Parker would thrive in a multi-dog home where he can take his cues from confident, friendly dogs. He would also do well in a house with a yard where he can explore at his own pace, or in a quieter, lower-traffic apartment environment, especially during his initial adjustment period. He needs a patient, understanding home that gives him the space to decompress and adjust at his own pace.

Ongoing Health

Parker is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and he has been spayed/neutered. He is also up-to-date on flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Parker is house trained and sleeps through the night. He is shy at first with people and takes affection slowly, but he allows handling without any issues and shows no signs of aggression. He is still building confidence on leash, and new environments can feel overwhelming, but he handles walks without fuss. With gentle guidance and continued exposure, he will continue to improve.

Parker is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. There is an $87 surcharge for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
