Rufus is a charming 2-year-old Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix with soulful eyes and a scruffy face that will steal your heart. He weighs 15 lbs and is currently underweight, expected to reach a healthy 18-20 lbs. Rufus was abandoned but has remained incredibly sweet, trusting, and eager to love, despite his difficult past. He is the ultimate "Velcro dog," thriving on closeness with his people, whether that's on the couch, following you around, or in your lap. He's affectionate, gentle, and has a happy, easygoing nature that makes him a joy. Rufus is great with other dogs, respecting their space and social cues, but would also be happy as an only dog with plenty of human attention. He walks beautifully on leash, doesn't pull, and is not reactive. Rufus also rides well in the car and enjoys watching the world go by. He is crate trained and settles quietly. Rufus has a moderate energy level, enjoying walks and adventures, but also loves to cuddle and nap. He forms deep bonds and truly wants to be part of a family. As a Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix, he will need regular grooming.
