Oakley is a curious and gently playful pup with a heart of an angel! He's an affectionate and gentle soul who will welcome nothing more than a good cuddle after some exploring, hanging out with his person, or a little bout of playmate wrestling. Oakley is becoming more brave and independent every day and invites attention, happily sitting to soak up all the love and petting he can get. His gentle nature makes him a potentially great companion for other animals, and he's expected to be very connected to his person or persons. Oakley is very food motivated and has proven to be one of the sharper pups of the litter, a quick learner with quiet intelligence. On walks, he's observant, investigating and looking to you for approval. He's also one of the first to the chow line! Oakley is the perfect mix of energy and calm, coming in a little shy but now feeling his own with a big smile on his face. He's expected to be a good, easy-sailing pup throughout his lifetime and would make a great family pet. Oakley definitely has the makings of a couch potato if allowed and would be phenomenal with a second pup in the household, as he is calm and has proper etiquette when meeting new dogs. He is good on a leash and draws a lot of attention with his adorable looks. Oakley and his littermates have become accustomed to sleeping through fireworks, so there is no firework reaction with this pup.
Ideal Home
A home with another existing pup, or a home that is open to taking a second pup, would be ideal to fulfill Oakley's life with both human and canine companions. We always strive for this with our dog-friendly dogs to give them a greatly fulfilled lifetime forward.
Ongoing Health
All dogs transitioning are processed on a Foster to Adopt program to provide real-time acclimation and assessment prior to finalizing adoptions.
Training & Support
Oakley is a quick learner, especially when food motivated.
