Gabby is a beautiful young Beagle Mix, estimated to be around 1.5 years old and weighing 30lbs. She's a shy girl who arrived at the shelter as a puppy and spent about 8 months growing up behind kennel walls. Because of this, she's still learning what life outside the shelter is all about. New sights, sounds, people, and experiences can feel overwhelming at first, and Gabby will need a patient and understanding family willing to give her plenty of time to decompress, adjust, and build trust in her new home. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate, and incredibly sweet companion. This goofy girl has a curious side that keeps everyone smiling, and she's fascinated by her own reflection! As she gains confidence, her playful personality emerges, and she becomes more eager to explore the world around her. Gabby can be sensitive to certain sounds and unfamiliar situations, so she'll thrive with patient adopters who can help her navigate new experiences at her own pace. The bond you build with Gabby will be well worth the wait.
Ideal Home
Gabby would do best in a home that understands the 3-3-3 rule and can offer slow, gentle introductions to new people. She is good with dogs, but her temperament with cats and children is unknown.
Ongoing Health
Gabby has no known medical or special needs. Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, a 4DX test, and general wellness care including deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention.
Training & Support
Gabby is currently working on potty training and does great using potty pads. She does well with going potty outside if on a good routine. She is not yet fully potty trained and is still learning what a consistent routine looks like. Her future family should expect to continue working on house training and understand that accidents may happen as she adjusts. With patience, structure, and positive reinforcement, she'll continue making progress.
