Cleo is a 4-year-old, 30 lb. female Labrador mix with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit that's happy to be alive! She was rescued in November 2023 after being found in the street with a leg fracture. Though her leg healed a bit crooked, she navigates the world with no special needs and is absolutely perfect to us. Cleo is a loyal, loving, and calm companion who can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up. She's also well-behaved, enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash, and is crate trained.
Ideal Home
We're looking for a family who is willing to give a rescued pet at least 3 months to truly show their best personality. An active family that enjoys daily walks or hiking would be a wonderful match for Cleo. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. Because Cleo is a rescued street animal, her new family should have an open conscience regarding the need for protection and education, and possess experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and high tolerance for a rescued pup are also key. Cleo is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Cleo has had a full health protocol, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested for various conditions (4DX, Heartworm). She is up-to-date on her monthly preventive medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has a clean bill of health and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cleo is leash and crate trained and good in the car. However, she is not house-trained. We understand that housing training takes time and effort, and we are not able to provide this service for all the animals in our care due to the sheer volume of rescues. We encourage her new family to be patient and consistent with her training.
