Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who weighs 53 pounds. He came to us as a stray and is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, all ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy who craves love and attention. He's incredibly smart and a fast learner, with a gentle and affectionate nature. Smokey is submissive and has no mean bone in his body. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is dog-friendly, currently living with two other dogs in his foster home. He loves a good game of chase and walking calmly by your side once the initial excitement wears off. While he can be a little nervous around strangers and may bark out of excitement, he's easily redirected. Smokey is fully potty trained and prefers not to be crated. He does experience some separation anxiety, but he doesn't tear up anything and eventually settles down. He would be best suited for a home with a yard rather than an apartment. Smokey would absolutely love a home with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day, though he has done well with a full workday. He truly thrives in a low-traffic environment due to his shyness with new people. If you're looking for a laid-back, easygoing, couch-potato companion who enjoys snuggles and quiet time, Smokey is your guy!

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he does stop crying and does not tear up anything. He is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut in it. He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but is easily redirected. He does get excited in the beginning of walks and will pull slightly but settles down.
