Rusty is a wonderful 4-year-old Retriever/Lab mix, weighing about 55 pounds, with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. He came to us from a high-intake shelter where he was at risk due to overcrowding, but thankfully, our rescue stepped in to give him the second chance he truly deserves. Now thriving in his foster home, Rusty is a calm and affectionate companion who adores snuggling on the couch. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playtime, but he's equally happy just relaxing by your side. Rusty is friendly, gentle, and loves attention, happily sitting still while being brushed. He's a well-behaved boy, already house-trained and crate-trained, and he even enjoys lounging in his crate with the door open.

Rusty would thrive in a home that appreciates his calm and gentle nature. He has experience living with other dogs and teenage boys, and has shown to be a great companion in these environments.

Ongoing Health

Rusty is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He will receive a final veterinary health inspection before joining his forever family.

Rusty is house-trained and crate-trained. His foster family describes him as an all-around wonderful boy.
