Meet Henry Chestnut, our handsome Shepherd/Carolina dog mix with a heart of gold and a zest for life! This sweet boy is ready to find his forever family and share his infectious joy.
Henry's journey began with a scare; he found himself on the city shelter's euthanasia list due to overcrowding. Thankfully, he was rescued and has since blossomed into an absolute delight! At 7.5 years young, Henry possesses a vibrant energy that rivals any puppy. He's the perfect "medium energy" companion – always ready for an exciting walk, but equally happy to snuggle up indoors for a cozy nap.
Ideal Home
Henry would thrive in a home where he can be the star! His dream scenario is a retired individual or someone working remotely who can shower him with attention. While a yard would be a bonus, he's perfectly content with regular walks and will be happy in any loving and consistent environment. He is also dog-friendly and could happily live with or without another canine companion.

Training & Support
Henry is a smart cookie and has recently completed an elite board and train program, where he learned numerous new commands and mastered leash manners. He's thriving with structure and is eager to continue his learning. We're so impressed with his responsiveness and progress! You'll be thankful for his excellent training, and sessions from the training institute are even included with his adoption. He is also a pro at using his crate, transitioning in and out with ease.
