Polly is a one-year-old, petite 18 lb bundle of joy with a heart as big as her playful spirit! She's a true friend, offering unwavering loyalty and a curious, gentle nature. Her foster describes her as affectionate, lively, and bold. She likes people and gets along with other dogs, seeming to understand social cues when they don't want to play or share. Polly is extremely food-motivated and will snatch food from other dogs' mouths or your plate if she can reach it – she firmly believes if she can reach it, it was meant for her! Because of this, she eats separately from other dogs. She's an excellent sleep-on-the-human-bed dog, rarely barks, and enjoys playing fetch. She also has moments of zoomies that are truly something to behold! Polly enjoys and seeks out human company, loving to be petted and held.
Ideal Home
Polly would thrive in a home that understands her food motivation. Due to her tendency to snatch food, we will not be adopting her to families with young children.
Ongoing Health
Polly is vaccinated and will be microchipped. She will be spayed on July 29th and will be ready to start her new life shortly after.
Training & Support
Polly is still working on her house training, making it outside about 70% of the time. She does enjoy sneak pooping on the rug, but shows a tremendous amount of guilt and regret when asked about it. Leash training is also a work in progress, as she is not yet familiar with it. Overall, she is on her way to becoming the ideal fur companion!

Transporation
Polly is located in Blacksburg, but can be transported to an approved adopter. We will offer virtual meet and greets if the adopter is unable to travel.
