Ivy is a beautiful 1-year-old Redbone Hound/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile. Weighing approximately 50 pounds, this sweet girl is the total package—loving, smart, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered. Ivy has never met a stranger; she absolutely adores people and greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and her signature paw shake. One of her favorite things is offering her paw for attention, and she's always ready to soak up affection from her favorite humans. Ivy's best buddy, Roxas, a German Shepherd who usually does not like most dogs, adores Ivy, which speaks to her calming effect. You can see in her videos how wonderfully she walks on a leash and exhibits excellent manners both at home and in public. She is the kind of dog who easily adjusts to new situations and takes life's changes in stride. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or heading out for an adventure, Ivy is happy to be by your side. Ivy is also fantastic with other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends. Her friendly and gentle nature makes her a joy to have around. Sadly, Ivy found herself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own. Shelter staff quickly noticed what a special dog she was, and her sweet temperament helped save her life. Now she is ready for the happy ending she deserves—a forever family who will shower her with the love and affection she so willingly gives to everyone around her.
