Ty - big lovable guy

Meet Ty! This handsome 6-year-old Weimaraner/American Foxhound mix is a big lovable guy with a zest for life and a heart full of love. He's light on his feet, playful with humans and other dogs, and has a smile that shows up whenever he gets excited, which is quite often! Ty's DNA results show he's 52% Weimaraner, with American Foxhound, Siberian Husky, and a touch of Chow Chow mixed in.

Ideal Home

Ty thrives with active families, an active single person, or a couple. He'd do best with female pups or male dogs smaller than his 70lb frame. A securely fenced backyard is a must. An adopter experienced with large dogs is a plus.

Ongoing Health

Ty is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and will be neutered prior to adoption.

Training & Support

Ty is crate-trained, house-trained, and doggie-door savvy. He walks well on a leash, but his nose sometimes takes charge if he catches an interesting scent, so continued leash training will help him stay focused. He knows "sit" and is eager to keep learning.

Transporation

Ty is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out-of-town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. Transport to the city location on this listing runs every 2-3 weeks. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
