Meet Marvin – The Jackpot Pup!

Marvin is a 2-year-old, 55 lb mixed breed who is pure gold. Once abandoned and too scared to be touched, Marvin spent months keeping his distance in an Ennis neighborhood. But with patience and kindness, Marvin let his walls down—and the moment he accepted his first pet, everything changed. He blossomed into the most loyal, affectionate, and downright angelic pup you’ll ever meet. In your presence, Marvin is calm, kind, and the definition of easygoing. His resilience and devotion will melt your heart. Whoever adopts him isn’t just getting a dog—they’re winning the love lottery. Marvin underwent training with our Behavioral Director to improve his confidence and trust of new people. Marvin can outwit your standard wire crate, but does really well in a Ruffland or Smonter kennel. If you give this sweet fellow the opportunity to win you over, he absolutely will!

Ideal Home

Marvin is kid-approved and friendly with cats, dogs, and pigs. He loves soft beds and soft hearts.

Ongoing Health

Marvin is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Marvin knows multiple commands, is crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. He is also a cuddle expert and will want to be the little spoon!

Application Details:

Applications start by contacting us through Wags. You can find our application at CRAPrescue.org/application. After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet, and the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2-week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to ensure the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Marvin's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. Marvin also comes with two complimentary training sessions (virtual or in-person) with our Behavioral Director, Stephen, to help make the transition to your home as easy as possible.

Transporation

Marvin is currently located in DFW Texas but is available for transport to Pittsburgh and surrounding areas through our monthly transport service.
