Mary and Moe are a sweet brother and sister bonded pair looking for a very special home. They previously lived in the woods with their homeless owner and were left behind when their owner was able to get help. Mary was adopted once before but was returned because she was too bonded with Moe and very unhappy without him. They are both around 2 years old, and Mary weighs about 10 pounds while Moe weighs about 13 pounds. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They are currently in a foster home with other dogs up to 25 pounds and are potty and pee pad trained. They are also good car riders.
Ideal Home
Mary and Moe would do best in a home without children. They are also flight risks, so a securely fenced yard and careful supervision when outdoors are essential. They would thrive with an adopter who works from home or has a hybrid schedule, as they do not do well with being left alone for long periods.
Ongoing Health
Mary and Moe are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Mary can be shy and cautious, and it may take up to two months to earn her full trust. She needs an adopter who is patient and willing to take things slow with her. Moe is a food-motivated lover boy. While Moe was previously able to be crated, Mary experiences significant anxiety when crated, whether alone or with Moe. The best solution for them when left alone is to be in a gated room. Mary did nip a person out of fear shortly after being rescued when she was being caught, but this was understandable given the circumstances.
