Patches is an 11-year-old Pointer mix with a striking black and white coat. He's a dog who may seem a bit reserved at first, but once he trusts you, he becomes an incredibly devoted companion. Patches is looking for an experienced dog handler who can offer him the time, patience, and understanding he deserves. He thrives on routine and enjoys his independence, but he also has a wonderfully affectionate side that he'll share with the right person.
Ideal Home
Patches is not a fan of cats or children. A quiet home where he can be the only pet and has minimal foot traffic would be ideal for him to feel comfortable and truly thrive.
Ongoing Health
All AAF dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Patches has been tested for heartworms, and treated for intestinal parasites and fleas. His health and well-being are of the utmost importance.
Training & Support
Patches can be wary of strangers, so consistency and a gentle approach are key to building his trust. An experienced owner who understands his needs will be best equipped to help him continue to settle in and flourish.

- An application is required and must be qualified prior to an official adoption appointment.
- Adoption fees for dogs 5 months and older are $135. Occasionally there may be promotions for discounted adoption fees.
Transporation
You can visit Patches and other adoptable dogs during our open hours: Monday-Friday 11 AM - 7 PM, Saturday 11 AM - 4 PM, and Sunday 12 PM - 4 PM. We are closed on Holidays. You can see the dogs from the adoption aisle, but to schedule a personal meeting, please submit an application first.
