Meet Lainey! Lainey is a gorgeous cream shepherd mix with soulful eyes and a heart ready for forever love. At around a year old and under 35 pounds, she’s the perfect petite size — small enough to curl up beside you, big enough to fill your whole world. She was pulled from an overcrowded shelter by our rescue and is eager to find her family. This tender, sensitive girl isn’t looking to climb mountains (at least not yet). She’s looking for something even better: a calm, cozy home and a person to call her own. Lainey would thrive in a peaceful household that wants a loyal companion more than a nonstop adventurer. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply — the “follow you from room to room” type who just wants to love and be loved. As her confidence grows, we’re sure she’ll be ready to explore the world little by little — especially if she knows you’re right there beside her. But in the beginning, she’ll be happiest soaking up comfort, stability, and gentle reassurance. Lainey does well with other dogs who give her a moment to warm up — and once she does, it’s game on! Play bows, zoomies, and silly fun included. She’s been fine with kitties so far and we’re happy to do additional testing to ensure she’s a perfect match. She’s generally indifferent to kids, so older, respectful children who don’t expect her to constantly engage would be fine. This beautiful girl has so much love to give. Ongoing Health

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.

Training & Support

Lainey does well with other dogs who give her a moment to warm up. She’s been fine with kitties so far. She is generally indifferent to kids. She needs patience, kindness, and devotion.

Transporation

Lainey is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. We offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. The adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Transports run every 2-3 weeks. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
