Hazel is a sweet 3.7-year-old, 50 lb girl with a heart of gold! She can be a bit shy at first, needing a few introductions to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she's incredibly loyal and loving. Hazel loves to carry her toys around and is especially fond of treats! She has a best friend named Loki, another dog at her foster home, and enjoys the company of other dogs. She's also great with children she knows, though she can be a bit protective of them. Hazel is potty and crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. She's looking for a patient and understanding family who can help her build confidence.

Ideal Home

Hazel would thrive in a home that is familiar with protective breeds and has a consistent, calm environment. She would do best in a home without a lot of frequent visitors or strangers.

Ongoing Health

Hazel is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on prevention. She is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Hazel is potty and crate trained. She can be initially wary of new people and needs time to warm up. It's recommended that potential adopters spend time with her and take her for walks before adoption to help her feel more comfortable leaving her foster home.
