Spicy

Spicy is a charming 8-year-old Chihuahua with a big personality packed into a tiny body! He was rescued from a hoarding situation and is now looking for a very special home where he can be loved for exactly who he is. True to his name, Spicy is a quirky little guy who prefers men and can take his time warming up to women, sometimes requiring several months. Building trust with him requires patience, consistency, and plenty of treats, which are the quickest way to his heart! He absolutely loves treats and takes them very gently.

Ideal Home

Spicy thrives in a home that understands his unique personality and gives him the time he needs. He prefers firm, confident touch and can become uncomfortable with gentle petting. While he will never bite, he will clearly let you know when he's had enough affection with his vocalizations. He's a good listener and follows directions. We prefer a household with no small children. He can do well with a calm, submissive canine companion who respects his space, and he gets along well with cats.

Ongoing Health

Spicy is housetrained but may mark indoors if left unsupervised, so his new home will need to help manage this behavior.

Training & Support

Spicy sleeps in his kennel overnight and knows it's his safe space. Consistency and patience are key to earning his trust and building a lasting bond.
