Tessie

Behold Queen Tessie, a 3-year-old pit bull mix who looks like a tiny cow and carries herself like a royal who absolutely outranks you-despite what your "job title" may say. Her Majesty adores people, wiggles ferociously, and holds a prestigious doctorate in Lounging on Humans. If you sit, she will assume the throne (your lap) without hesitation. Audience with the queen is not optional. Queen Tessie demands a dog-free kingdom; if she witnesses dogs enjoying themselves, she immediately announces: "I HAVE DECIDED THAT FUN IS CANCELLED." She is the fun police, judge, jury, and full-time enforcer. At the shelter, Queen Tessie excelled at nose work. What was she looking for? Who knows. Was she proud? Absolutely—she strutted away like she'd solved a national mystery.

Queen Tessie demands a dog-free kingdom. She is likely good with children, but her cat-friendliness is unknown.
