Buddy

Buddy is a timid, sweet boy who is still learning to trust people due to not being well-socialized. Despite his timidity, he is also calm, friendly, and goofy! He loves toys and spending time outdoors. While he's still getting used to the leash, his foster mom is diligently working with him. Buddy understands the word "no" and is working on his house-training, though he still benefits from some supervision. He startles easily and needs a little time to recover when he does. He doesn't enjoy being alone and loves to snuggle up with his foster mom on the bed or couch. Buddy enjoys people but needs time to warm up and build trust. He may not be the best fit for small toddlers but could do well with older children (10+) who are calm and gentle around him.

Ideal Home

Buddy would thrive in a home with a confident and calm companion dog, ideally a Basset Hound, as this is the only type of dog he has ever known. He needs a person who will be kind, loving, and patient as he adjusts to his new environment.

Ongoing Health

Buddy is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Buddy is still learning to trust people and is working on leash manners. He also needs continued supervision with potty training. He startles easily and can take time to recover from startling events.
