Meet Joaquin! He's a 50lb, gentle, and shy sweetheart who was born beside a busy road in Puerto Vallarta. Joaquin is a survivor, and today he's a soft soul who loves other dogs and has the sweetest, quietest spirit. He might be a little shy at first, but he truly blossoms once he feels comfortable and safe.

• Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You'll meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

Transportation

Joaquin is located near Bucerias, Mexico. He can be transported to the US and Canada. During the summer months, securing Canadian flight angels can be challenging, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. Volunteers have successfully helped bring dogs to adopters at the border during the summer months.
