Meet Rue, a handsome 4-year-old blue Doberman with cropped ears and a docked tail. Rue is a gentle soul with a big heart, who came to us with his friend Eisen when their owner experienced health issues. While it was a difficult goodbye, Rue is now ready to find his new, loving forever family. Rue and Eisen are not a bonded pair and do not need to be adopted together. Rue is accustomed to living with other animals, including five dogs and several cats, and is comfortable in a busy household.
Compared to Eisen, Rue is the calmer, more laid-back gentleman. He enjoys being with his people and is happy to relax by your side. Rue has a softer, more easygoing personality and would do best with a family who appreciates a devoted companion who doesn't need to be on the go constantly.
Ideal Home
Rue would do best in a home with older children or no children. He requires a secure fenced yard where he can safely enjoy the outdoors.
Ongoing Health
Rue previously had knee surgery, but he has fully recovered and is doing wonderfully. Because of his history, his activity level is more moderate. He still enjoys exploring and being part of family activities, but he would prefer a comfortable pace rather than a nonstop adventure schedule. Dobermans are prone to certain health issues, so adopters should be financially prepared for potential veterinary expenses and consider pet insurance.
Training & Support
Rue is a devoted shadow and a gentle presence.
