Louis is an approximately 2-year-old, neutered male dog weighing about 26.5 lbs with a lean build and high energy. He was rescued after being abandoned following the Andong wildfires in South Korea. Despite his past, he has remained incredibly social, resilient, and full of love. Louis is exceptionally friendly, affectionate, and confident, readily approaching new people for pets and belly rubs. At home, he is surprisingly calm and relaxed, often resting on the bed, but transforms into an active and enthusiastic companion when outdoors, making him a great balance for someone seeking both a cuddly friend and an adventure buddy. He is very easy to live with, being non-destructive, not guarding, mounting, or showing aggression, and doesn't demand attention through barking or whining. Louis is 100% outdoor potty trained and thrives on a stable routine that includes two daily walks, totaling about 1.5 hours, with occasional visits to a dog playground. He is also content resting quietly when left alone for up to 8–9 hours on weekdays, showing no signs of separation anxiety. He loves walks, sniffing, and exploring, and while he may pull slightly on leash, he is manageable and observes other dogs calmly. Loud noises like trucks don't faze him, and he remains composed in most environments. Louis is excellent in the car, jumping in on his own and riding calmly in the back seat, and he tolerates grooming, including baths and drying, very well. He enjoys fetch and tug-of-war, but is equally happy engaging with people through treats and training, especially since he is very food motivated.
