Meet Delight, a 38lb Black Mouth Cur mix with an estimated birthday of April 4, 2025. Delight is a beautiful girl who truly lives up to her name! She's a favorite in our rescue environment, loving playtime with other dogs and volunteers. Her fun, joyous, and sweet demeanor is infectious, and she's wonderful at matching the energy around her.
Delight is past the chaos of puppyhood but still young enough to enjoy play, activity, and learning new things. She's settling into rescue life nicely, but what she really wants is a place to call her own. She'd be a wonderful addition to a person or family who loves to play with a happy-go-lucky sweetheart pup and also enjoy snuggles. She has been an absolute "delight" to everyone she meets, including kids and adults at a recent adoption event! Delight follows direction well, is eager to please, and loves being part of a group. With her medium size and loving nature, she would be a wonderful fit for a family looking for a loyal companion who enjoys both affection and a bit of adventure. Delight is kennel and potty trained. She is also dog and kid friendly. All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow adopters! Adopters are also eligible to receive discounts on training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training.

Transportation
Delight is located in Houston, TX, and transport is available out of state. Pickup locations for transported dogs may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. Adopters can track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates from transport. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport.
