Meet Yeager! This tall, athletic, and handsome Doberman is brimming with unlimited energy and a contagiously happy, albeit sometimes chaotic, personality. Yeager is a complex character who lives in his own happy world, always ready for an adventure. He's a lot of dog, and we're looking for a specific kind of person who can truly appreciate and manage his unique spirit.
Ideal Home
Yeager needs an experienced, active, and consistent human or humans who are prepared for a full-time project dog and won't give up when he inevitably tests boundaries. Previous Doberman or working-breed experience is strongly preferred. He has done well with cats and older children and is selective with other dogs, generally doing great with females and smaller to medium-sized males.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned beyond the general need for awareness of his deep-chested breed when it comes to exercise.
Training & Support
Yeager is not untrainable, but he is not intuitive and requires ongoing training from an experienced owner. While he is mostly potty trained, he will have accidents and mark indoors as he doesn't always respect human correction. He learns patterns quickly and uses them to his advantage, especially around food. He rarely settles, particularly around other animals, and his play can be overwhelming. He has a tendency to destroy beds, feeders, and anything not built to withstand chaos. He eats very fast and immediately wants to sprint and jump.
