Dottie

Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of love and playfulness, ready to find her forever home! She's a wonderfully loyal companion with a goofy personality that's sure to bring laughter and joy to your life. Dottie is incredibly intelligent and food-motivated, making her a quick study when it comes to training. Her foster mom describes her as a "cuddle bug" who loves to be by your side.

Ideal Home

Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home, enjoying at least one good walk or play session daily. She gets along well with other dogs, particularly big dogs, and does best in a calmer environment with one or two canine companions. Alternatively, she would also be very happy as the only pet, soaking up all the attention. She is also cat-friendly and lives with cats in her foster home, usually leaving them be unless they initiate play. Dottie has a known issue with younger men and boys due to a past negative experience, so she would do best in a home without young males or an all-female household. She is great at meeting women!

Ongoing Health

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Dottie is fully potty trained and crate trained, though she is also comfortable free-roaming when her foster allows. She walks well on leash, though she may pull and bark if she sees another dog. Her intelligence and food motivation mean she picks up on training very quickly.

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX, and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
