Ed Hardy

Ed Hardy, a charming male dog with a heart of gold, is still patiently waiting for his forever home after over a year in foster care. He's come a long way from a shy shelter dog to a curious and brave explorer. Hardy has strong boundaries and prefers to approach new people and situations on his own terms, but once he trusts you, he's a complete love bug! He enjoys chewing on bones, observing the world from a safe distance, and spending time near his favorite humans. Hardy is an indoor enthusiast who loves playing tug-of-war and fetch with his toys. He's also a big fan of his crate, often retreating there when he's had enough social interaction – a true introvert!

Ideal Home

Hardy would be happiest in a calm, child-free home. He is not a good fit for homes with cats. Small dogs are welcome, and larger dogs will be considered with slow introductions. A commitment to continuing his crate usage is required.

Ongoing Health

Hardy is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Hardy has made great strides in his training and knows commands like "go" (for his crate), "sit," and "shake." He's also learning "leave it" and will occasionally "speak" on command. He walks nicely on a leash and is currently undergoing muzzle training. He's accustomed to apartment living and spending up to 8 hours a day in his crate. Hardy is crate-trained, house-trained, and can settle beautifully. He's described as a "threenager" who loves to play and "talk back" with a sweet howl.
