Josie

Josie is a sweet and friendly little Schnauzer who will come right up to meet you! She's a 14-pound girl, spayed, and microchipped. So far, she's been doing great in her foster home and is a low-allergen dog who rides well in the car and is crate-trained. Josie is looking for an active family who can take her on adventures, hikes, and walks around the neighborhood once she's confident on her leash.

Ideal Home

Josie would do best in an adult-only home with a securely fenced yard. She may be okay with cats, but she has not been tested with them. She is not a good first-time dog or a good apartment dog.

Ongoing Health

Josie is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies, bordetella, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. She has been tested for heartworms, and all HEART dogs are provided monthly heartworm and flea prevention. They also receive additional medical care as needed, which may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, and treatment for infections.

Training & Support

Josie will need continued work on leash walking and learning all basic commands. She is a blank slate and ready to learn! An experienced home is required to help her succeed.
