Hi there! I'm Abby, an adorable, 86-pound furball who absolutely loves food and people! When I first arrived at my foster home, I was a bit unsure about new people and sudden movements startled me. But thankfully, I've come to realize that most humans are pretty wonderful and just want to shower me with love. I'm as sweet as can be, and I absolutely adore petting – don't stop, or I might just have to remind you! I've also become quite good at the "go lay down" command and usually follow it well.
I really enjoy going for walks, but there are a few things that make me a bit nervous. Fast-moving objects like runners, bikers, and motorcycles can be a bit unsettling for me, so please be mindful of those. I also tend to get a little anxious when we encounter other dogs on our walks. On the bright side, I absolutely love car rides!
I'm okay with my crate, especially if there's a tasty treat involved to entice me. I might whine a bit when you first leave, but I'll settle down once I realize you're gone. Just remember, the crate is for when you're away – otherwise, I'm perfectly happy to be out and about with you. My foster mom has a no-sleeping-on-the-bed rule, and while I understand, I have been known to sneak onto the couch when she's not looking (shh, don't tell her!). There are a couple of things I really don't like: the vacuum and the lawnmower. I'm convinced they're plotting against me! But overall, I'm a loving and loyal companion who's always ready for some affection and a good walk, as long as we can steer clear of those fast-moving and four-legged things!
