About KING

King is a 6-8 year old, 55 lb lab mix with a fun, fluffy tail that makes him stand out! He's a solid "10" on a scale of 1-10 for energy and loves to be active, but he's also sweet, quiet, and gentle. King is friendly with people, kids, and other dogs, though he hasn't been exposed to cats. He's a well-rounded, self-sufficient companion who doesn't require a lot of maintenance. King is smart, has good common sense, and follows directions, especially when it comes to using his crate or being quiet. While he's generally quiet, he will bark to alert you to anything unusual. He enjoys his meals and treats but doesn't have a high food or prey drive. King is both crate and house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He shows no signs of storm or separation anxiety. He had a chewing incident with a plastic water bowl, so a metal one is recommended. King rides well in the car and enjoys looking out the window. He walks nicely on a leash and is ready to relax after a good amount of activity and enrichment. King's wish is to be with a family committed to showing him how great life can be. He was found abandoned and hit by a car, but his physical scars do not impact his ability to live life to the fullest.

Ideal Home

An active home with a yard where King can enjoy his energetic lifestyle.

Ongoing Health

King has physical scars from a past injury, but they do not impact his mobility or overall health.

Training & Support

King is crate and house-trained. He may chew plastic bowls, so a metal alternative is recommended.
