Jada

Jada is a sweet, gentle girl who's content to hang out with a friend enjoying treats and pets. She's filled out since coming to the shelter and has gained 14 pounds, looking great at 91 pounds! Even though she's an extra-large dog, she's calm and easy to walk on a leash. Jada is a great dog and a super companion but is only available to rescues because of her breed and size.

Jada is a quiet girl who's trying to figure out her new environment. She stepped forward to be leashed but kept her tail tucked as we entered the interaction pen. Offering her some treats helped her feel a little more comfortable, and she'd take them gently. She enjoyed a game of "sit" and catch with treats, which even led to her being ready for head scratches in between tosses. While she wasn't interested in playing with a ball, it was wonderful to see her more relaxed and having a good time. Jada is easy to walk on a leash, and when it was time to go, she walked to the gate and waited patiently to be leashed. She's a nice dog who just needs a little time to feel safe.
