Moe is a sweet, shy, and incredibly loyal 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who weighs about 12 pounds. He had a rough start in life, but with patience and gentle handling, he's blossoming into a loving companion. Moe is happy to follow you around, snuggle up for naps, and shower his favorite people with affection. He enjoys playtime and would love a canine friend in his new home. While he's still learning the ropes of walking and house-training, he's a quick learner and picks up on routines easily, especially when guided by another dog. He's not destructive and is quite consistent with using pee pads when left alone.
Ideal Home
Moe would do best in a quiet, adult-only home with low foot traffic. He can be worried by new people and loud noises or fast movements, so a calm environment will help him feel safe and build trust. While he's shown interest in cat-savvy cats, he's most comfortable with same-sized dogs. A fenced yard is a plus, though not a strict requirement.

Moe has had an initial veterinary check, is up-to-date on vaccinations, deworming, and has been neutered. He is current on flea and tick medication.
Training & Support
Moe is house-training and walking on a leash, but he will need continued patience and positive reinforcement to perfect these skills. He is a follower and learns best by observing other dogs, so a home with a confident canine companion would be ideal. He is shy at first and needs time to warm up to new people, so consistent gentle interaction is key.

Moe is located in Adams, NY. Foster-to-adopt placements are limited to within an 80-mile radius of Adams, NY. All vetting prior to adoption must be done at our vet's office in Adams, NY. For adoptions, we are able to transport within a 500-mile radius of Adams, NY. All pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption.
