About Peanut

Meet Peanut, a 4-year-old Shepherd/Chow mix with the most soulful brown eyes you've ever seen. This handsome 102-pound boy has a stunning golden-brown coat with a rich reddish glow and the softest fur you'll want to run your hands through all day. Peanut is what we lovingly call a "work in progress" and he's ready for a family who sees potential instead of pounds. He's currently carrying some extra weight, but with the right mix of routine walks, structured playtime, portion control, and lots of encouragement, this big guy is absolutely capable of getting back to his best self. Sometimes love looks like belly rubs... and sometimes it looks like sticking to a healthy routine. Peanut needs both. He's semi-active and enjoys playing with friends, especially short bursts of fetch. He'll happily chase a ball for a bit before calling it a day, but with consistency and support, his stamina will grow along with his confidence. What he really needs is a family committed to an active, healthy lifestyle who can help bring that spark back into his life. Peanut is more than his weight; he's a sweet, gentle soul who just needs a little help getting out of his funk. With structure, patience, and a commitment to wellness, he's going to blossom into the happiest, healthiest version of himself. If you're ready to cheer on a big-hearted boy and celebrate every small victory along the way, Peanut is ready to start his journey with you.
