Ginny is a bright and athletic girl with an infectious zest for life. She prances like a gazelle, views squirrels as fascinating chase-worthy creatures, and never passes up a game of fetch, especially with her cherished Chuck-It ball that doubles as her beloved emotional support toy. Once she's had her fill of zoomies, Ginny is all about settling in for a deep nap right beside her favorite humans.

She's incredibly affectionate and has a charmingly limited understanding of personal space, which she sees as a feature, not a flaw! Whether you're on the couch, in bed, or even in the bathroom, Ginny is there to ensure you're doing okay. She's happy to volunteer as your lap dog, shoulder dog, neck dog, or face dog.

Ginny is as smart as can be and eager to please, making training an absolute delight. She's motivated by treats, already knows her basic commands, is recently house-trained and crate-trained, and continually amazes us with how quickly she picks up new things. She's also diligently working on her leash manners. Her excitement can sometimes get the better of her, leading to pulling on walks, but she's making great progress every day. If you've been searching for a jogging partner, Ginny is ready to lace up her imaginary sneakers!

She adores people and has been wonderfully gentle with children who approach her for pets. She's also dog-friendly and has formed a beautiful friendship with her foster brother. Witnessing them play, cuddle, and help each other build confidence has been a highlight of fostering her.

Ginny arrived in foster care a little unsure of the world, but with love and consistent care, she has blossomed into a confident, goofy, and happy girl who embraces every new adventure. Her mild anxiety continues to improve as she settles in and realizes she's in a safe and loving environment.

Ginny hasn't been tested with cats and possesses a strong prey drive, so squirrels and other small critters remain her favorite things to enthusiastically chase.

Ideal Home

Ginny would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and play. She would also enjoy a home where she can be close to her people, as she has no concept of personal space and loves to snuggle.

Ginny is treat motivated, knows her basic commands, is house-trained, and crate-trained. She is working on her leash manners and can pull on walks due to excitement. She has a strong prey drive and enjoys chasing small critters.
