This cutie is Sake Sushi! He is currently 6 weeks old and weighs approximately 2 pounds. We believe he may be a German Shepherd/Husky mix, but with rescue, it's always a guess! What matters most is that he is adorable and is one of the most desperate pups in the US. Shelters in his area are facing euthanasia due to overcrowding, so adopting Sake literally saves his life and opens up a space for another animal in need.
Sake is the perfect blend of playful and snuggly! Raised in a foster home with other dogs, he's well-socialized and learning how to be a wonderful companion. He loves chasing and wrestling with his siblings during playtime, but he's just as happy curling up in your lap for cuddles afterward. Sweet, affectionate, and full of puppy charm, this little fluffball is sure to bring joy wherever he goes! We pride ourselves on providing good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a FaceTime call to meet Sake before signing paperwork.
Ideal Home
Sake is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy's personality is shaped by new experiences each day, so routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization are key from the start.

All necessary vetting is included in the adoption fee.
Training & Support
We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy immediately upon arrival. This will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. Our trainers on staff also assess every animal and modify behavior as needed, creating individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families.

Transportation
Sake is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Your new pup will travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Transport drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
