Lemon Drop is an approximately 5-month-old Shepherd mix with the sweetest personality and a smile that never seems to fade. With her expressive ears, soulful eyes, and constantly wagging tail, she has a way of making everyone she meets smile. She's a happy, affectionate puppy who loves chasing tennis balls, playing with squeaky toys, and splashing in the water. Lemon Drop is a smart little girl who learned to use the doggie door just by watching the other dogs. She already sits politely for meals, will sit at the front door before leaving for walks, and she's learning to walk nicely on a leash. She's happiest being close to her people. She loves cuddles, will happily follow you from room to room, and can sleep in her crate at night, though she'd much rather snooze in a dog bed nearby--or curled up beside you with her little nose tucked under your chin. Lemon Drop gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is currently living with another puppy and an older male dog. She's also been gentle and patient with children and is doing great with cats. She'd love to play with them, but politely backs off when the cats decline. Lemon Drop is a kind, intelligent, happy-hearted puppy who is ready to become someone's best friend. Training & Support
Lemon Drop is nearly potty trained, letting us know when she needs to go outside by whining at the door. If let out promptly, she reliably does her business outside, though like any puppy, she may still have an occasional accident while settling into a new home. She enjoys chewing but has been great about sticking to appropriate toys and hasn't been destructive. She doesn't love hopping into the car yet, but once she's in, she rides quietly. After 20-30 minutes of activity, she's usually happy to curl up for a nap.
