Tommy Pickles is a roughly 2-year-old, 42 lb pit bull mix with a big personality, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give. He's joyful, goofy, and ready for a fresh start with a family of his own. Tommy loves to romp, wrestle, and play with other dogs, and canine companionship is one of his favorite things. Whether it's a good game of chase, wrestling with a dog friend, or tossing around his favorite toys, Tommy brings enthusiasm and fun to everything he does. When playtime winds down, Tommy is more than happy to roll over for belly rubs, snuggle close, and soak up affection from his people. He’s loving, loyal, and thrives on connection, often showing his affection through kisses and closeness. Tommy walks well on leash with occasional reminders and enjoys exploring the outdoors. He’s smart, food-motivated, and responds well to positive reinforcement training, though he can be a little stubborn at times.
Ideal Home
Tommy would thrive in an active, adult-only home that can provide exercise, structure, and continued training. He cannot live in a home with cats or children.
Ongoing Health
Tommy is a work in progress, as all rescue pups are. He is crate trained and potty trained, though like many dogs transitioning homes, he may need a brief adjustment period.
Training & Support
Tommy can be a little stubborn at times, a trait best matched with an adopter who enjoys training, structure, and guidance.
