Parker is a quiet, gentle, and easygoing boy who weighs an estimated 21 lbs and is around 2 years old. He has a soft presence and a calm, peaceful energy that can make a home feel more grounded. While his breed is a guess, he appears to be a Portuguese Podengo mix. Parker shines most naturally around other dogs and would thrive in a multi-dog home where he can take cues from confident, friendly canine companions. He's a low-maintenance house guest, house-trained, and sleeps through the night. He has a playful side that emerges as he becomes more comfortable and quietly fits into routines, needing only a safe space to settle in.
Ideal Home
Parker would thrive in a multi-dog home. He could do well in a house with a yard where he can explore at his own pace, or in an apartment as long as it's a calmer, lower-traffic environment, especially during his initial adjustment period.
Ongoing Health
Parker is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has been tested for heartworms, and any necessary treatment is included.
Training & Support
Parker is shy with new people at first and takes affection slowly, but he is not resistant. He allows handling without issues and shows no signs of aggression, just a gentle hesitation. He will benefit from a patient, understanding home that gives him space to decompress and adjust. On leash, he is still building confidence, and new environments can feel overwhelming. Gentle guidance and continued exposure will help him improve. He has received foundational training including crate training, potty training, and leash walking from on-site trainers.
