Hi there! I'm Colette, a happy and sweet little girl just over 7 pounds, and I'm looking for my perfect forever family to help me blossom. I didn't have the best start in life, so I'm still learning to trust and feel safe, but I'm making so much progress! I've learned to 'sit' by watching the other dogs and following their lead when treats are involved – I'm a super smart cookie! I've also picked up our daily routine quickly and love being your little shadow, especially when we're out playing in our fenced yard.

Ideal Home

I'd love a patient family who understands I need time to build trust. My second favorite thing after toys (which I really love!) is treats, so they'll be a must! I get along with all the dogs and cats in my foster home, but I'm a bit timid around big dogs, so I'd do best in a home with dogs no larger than 20 pounds. A securely fenced yard is a must-have for me, as I haven't quite mastered leash walking and can be a bit of a runner if startled by new things.

I'm spayed and up to date on all my vaccinations.

Training & Support

While I'm doing really well with my house training and let you know when I need to go out, I'm not quite perfect yet and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement. My crate is my safe space, and I love to keep my favorite toys in there. I'm still learning to enjoy being pet and held, but I'm confident I'll learn how nice those things are with your gentle guidance. Adopters experienced with fearful dogs who are willing to take all necessary precautions to keep me safe are ideal.
