Cameron, estimated to be born in August 2015 and weighing around 75 pounds, is a sweet and affectionate boy who was surrendered to us when his previous owner's new fiancée and her son were afraid of dogs. This led to Cameron spending a lot of time crated or alone, but he has blossomed in our care and is eager to find his forever home. He's a love bug who enjoys chest and ear rubs, car rides, hikes, swimming, and the occasional cheeseburger. He has a charming way of pawing at you and leaning in, and his bond with his friends is for life. Cameron is a curious boy who may look like a "Dairydane" or a mix of Border Collie and Great Dane.
Ideal Home
Cameron is searching for a loving, dog-savvy home with a fenced yard. Due to his fears and size, he will do best in a home without young children. He needs a patient and understanding family who will take the time to earn his trust over multiple visits. He does not do well with invisible fences.
Ongoing Health
All animals at STAF are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Cameron can be timid when first meeting new people and may take time to warm up. He has fears on leash and would benefit from a refresher training course in his new home. He still needs to work on his leash pulling and can gain confidence with positive reinforcement training. He requires an experienced dog handler to help him become more at ease with unfamiliar dogs and people.
