Hi, I am Misty Mae! I'm a sweet and loyal Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix, weighing in at 38lbs with an estimated birthday of May 14, 2023. If you're looking for a best friend who will love being by your side, I think we should meet! I've been told I have a gentle soul and a heart full of love. I was rescued from a gas station and given a second chance at life, and I've been making the most of it ever since. My foster family says I'm a wonderful house guest. I'm housebroken, kennel trained, and I love having a routine. I also happen to be pretty smart and food-motivated, which means I'm always excited to learn new things... especially if snacks are involved! One of my favorite things is spending time with my people. Whether we're going for a walk, running errands, or just relaxing at home, I'm happiest when I'm part of whatever you're doing. I have a playful side too, but I'm just as content soaking up affection and enjoying a quiet evening together. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a little unsure of everything around me. But with patience, love, and a safe place to land, I've been gaining confidence every day. It's been so exciting discovering how wonderful life can be when you know you're safe. I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions when meeting new canine friends. Sometimes larger dogs can feel a little overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands that. More than anything, I'm looking for a forever home where I can continue to blossom, feel loved, and spend the rest of my days making my family smile. Maybe that family is yours? Transporation

I am located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can take me to your state or a neighboring state. Please note that pickup locations may vary. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. You will be able to track the transport van using the app Life360 and receive updates. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed.
