Meet Dafne Doo! This beautiful 66 lb Siberian Husky, with an estimated birthday of December 15, 2023, is ready for her second chance at life. She's full of love and joy, and in true Husky fashion, she expresses her affection by "talking" to you and giving the best hugs. Dafne was rescued from the county shelter where she was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding, despite being happy and healthy. She would love to find a family who enjoys daily walks as much as she does, and perhaps the occasional adventure to the beach or mountains. Anywhere with you is her favorite destination! She's also an Olympic-level swimmer, so if you have a pool or love water activities, she's your girl!
Ideal Home
Dafne does wonderfully with other dogs, especially puppies, and is gentle, playful, and patient with children of all ages. However, she would truly thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and shower you with all her love. If you're familiar with the Husky breed, you'll be impressed by her calm, gentle, and sweet nature. Her tri-coloring, with subtle brown undertones beneath the black, is absolutely gorgeous and hard to fully capture in photos.

Training & Support
Dafne is potty/house trained. As an adopter, you're eligible for 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off for programs booked within 60-90 days. All adopters are also invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group.

Transporation
Dafne is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be arranged to your state or a neighboring state. We coordinate with multiple ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You will be able to track the transport van using the Life360 app and receive updates.
