Meet Cedar, a spirited 1-year-old female Border Collie mix who is as intelligent as she is active! Cedar is a sensitive soul who is still discovering her place in the world. She thrives on outdoor adventures and would be happiest in an active home, perhaps a farm or ranch, where she can channel her energy. While Cedar can be a bit independent and initially shy with new people, she forms deep bonds with her humans once she trusts them. She may be a little more reserved around men.
Ideal Home
Cedar would do best in a home with another confident and playful dog who can help her learn to navigate social situations. She's not a fan of cats or children due to her herding instincts. While she hasn't been exposed to farm animals, it's likely she would chase them, so homes without these would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Cedar is up to date on all her vaccinations, has been spayed, wormed, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Cedar is house-trained and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, provided she's had enough exercise. She's generally a quiet dog and a good car companion. While her recall is decent when not pressured, she does exhibit mild resource guarding, which is manageable with attention. She's a toy enthusiast, preferring to collect and stash them rather than play fetch. Ensure she has plenty of mental and physical stimulation to prevent mischief.
