Meet Harrison!
Harrison is a dignified, eight-year-old Vizsla with a stunning golden rust coat and a heart just as warm. He's a loving and playful companion who thrives on human connection. Harrison adores chasing balls, exploring the outdoors, and the thrill of a good run. This gentle giant, weighing 62 pounds, is happiest when he's an integral part of a family's daily life. He's already mastered commands like "sit," "paw," "come," and "no" thanks to his formal obedience training. His favorite activities include backyard games of fetch and chewing on durable rubber toys. He also enjoys his daily walks and a cozy bed for naps. While he's a medium-energy dog, Harrison flourishes with a consistent routine of exercise and mental engagement, especially his cherished two-mile walks several times a week.
Harrison's personality is a delightful blend of affectionate loyalty and playful curiosity. He's a constant shadow who finds joy in being by your side and is friendly when meeting new people. However, Harrison needs a little extra understanding. He can feel uneasy in tight spaces or around large objects like boxes. In moments of high stress, he has bitten when feeling cornered or overwhelmed. These reactions stem from fear and discomfort, not malice. He simply needs a caregiver who can recognize his triggers, give him space, and offer reassurance to help him feel safe and secure.
Ideal Home
Harrison would do best in a home without small children, as their unpredictable movements and energy can overwhelm him. He is not compatible with cats. His perfect home will be one where he's the center of attention, with a loving, patient family who understands his quirks and is eager to celebrate his many wonderful qualities.
Ongoing Health
Harrison is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
