About Miranda

Miranda is an approximately 1 year and 9 month-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 46 pounds. She's a sweet and energetic girl who forms strong bonds with her people and is naturally protective. Miranda was rescued from the streets of Houston after being abandoned when a construction project ended. She's now safe and ready to find a loving family!

Ideal Home

Miranda would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and a family that enjoys outdoor activities. She does best with families who understand the needs of rescued street animals and have experience with dog behavior and training, as she can be a bit nervous in new situations and may need time to adjust. She is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Miranda is spayed, up-to-date on DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, and has been dewormed. She has also tested negative for heartworms and comes with a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Miranda is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She may need ongoing patience and support as she adjusts to a new environment and continues her house-training journey. She will bark if she senses something is wrong or feels threatened.
