Meet Bob 💙

Bob is a ~12.5-year-old Schnoodle who has had to start over more than once in his life. He was originally rescued from Africa and then deeply loved by his mom for many years. Earlier this year, his mom had to move into memory care, and through no fault of his own, Bob found himself back in rescue, once again needing a place to land. At his age, that’s a hard thing to ask of any dog. What Bob needs now is not another transition, but his true, final forever home. Bob is a sweet, loving little guy who enjoys his leash walks and being close to his people. He does well with laid-back dogs but can be bossy with some other dogs. He rides best in a crate in the car and settles nicely into a calm routine. Bob does well with rules and structure.

Ideal Home

Bob's ideal home is a low-traffic, adult home (teens are okay) where he can enjoy a predictable routine. While he’s done well around children, with his food challenges, it's best not to place him in a home with kids.

Ongoing Health

Bob is a senior dog.

Training & Support

We do want to be very honest so we set Bob and his future family up for success. In his previous home, Bob was given table scraps and now sees human food as very high value. If he gets ahold of it and someone tries to take it away, he can react aggressively. This can easily be managed by not leaving human food around, as he does just fine with his dog food. This behavior is specific to human food and is very manageable with awareness and structure.
